Micha Benoliel- Co-founder of Nodle & Garrett Kinsman-Co-founder of Nodle have taken AMA in Crypto Avengers TG Channel and helped to know about Nodle. you can check full session details below.

Crypto Avengers: lets start with asking you to introduce yourselves, your role and your background ? and how you discovered crypto?

Micha Benoliel: I started Nodle with my Co-founder Garrett to build the largest wireless network on earth to connect the next trillion things. We believe IoT is key to solve some of our biggest challenges And leveraging data and information from any device enabled the creation of a multitude of services.

Prior to Nodle I have always been involved in wireless and telecommunications . I also started to mine Bitcoin in late 2011.

Among the noticeable things I built in the past, I was teh first Telco to open up communications for Skype in 2004 and launched the disruptive messaging app FireChat in 2014.

I discovered crypto by mining Bitcoin in our office back in 2011–2012. I was fascinated by the idea of creating a digital currency that could enable transactions globally at anytime.

Crypto Avengers: Awesome this is a pretty big project with very big ambition with strong tech team from a bitcoin early miner !!

Micha Benoliel: We have a long term vision.

Crypto Avengers: Nice , so please tell us what is Nodle? can you explain Nodle in layman terms?

Micha Benoliel: Nodle is the Decentralized IoT Network on the Polkadot ecosystem.

We are one of the first mainnet on Parity Substrate.

The network is 100% software and we built it by leveraging connectivity from million of smartphones users. Everyday 5 to 6 million smartphones are participating in our network and we move 60 to 80gigabytes of data each day. The first services running on the platform and the chain are a smart asset API for locating things and collecting data from sensors.

We have customers who use it to locate furnitures, like the city of Paris or Constellation Brands in the US.

Our second service is a Covid Response solution to help enterprises to bring people back at work safely during the pandemic.

One of our first customers is a division of the United Nations.

We are most excited about bringing later this year any developer on the platform so they can start building their own services.

Crypto Avengers: awesome progress mate good to hear that it’s already in production and daily 5–6M smartphones are participating in the network good work!!

what was the inspiration behind starting Nodle?

Micha Benoliel: I was in Hong Kong when the app FireChat got more than half a million installs in 10 days. Everywhere I was going I was getting alerts on my phone “FireChat users nearby”. I realized this type of decentralized networks could really work efficiently and that it could be applied to more than just messaging.

Micha Benoliel: We believe centralized IoT Network architectures, typically run by big tech players, fail to service at scale through a lack of user incentives and protection of privacy and security.

and today the challenge is extremely important , IoT networks will either be dominated by the usual big incumbents or it will be decentralized, more secure, more private and closer to the original architecture of the internet. When you have the Nodle Cash App, your smartphone is turned into a base station and any device using bluetooth low energy in rpoximity can use it as a way to connect or send data back to the internet.

The data moved enables what we call the “proof of connectivity” and users get rewarded for moving data directly on the wallet.

Crypto Avengers: users are rewarded with nodle tokens ?

Micha Benoliel: Yes, Nodle Cash users are “mining” Nodle Cash tokens directly.

Think Pokémon Go, but instead of catching Pokémon's as you walk around, you connect to things and devices seamlessly and get rewarded.

Crypto Avengers: 😊 Nice !! so users will be happy with their rewards!

Micha Benoliel: It is very easy, all you need is to install the app Nodle Cash.

Crypto Avengers: so what’s the team size and how many developers are involved? can you talk about team behind Nodle?

Micha Benoliel: The team is 12 people almost full time and a few more indepent engineers who participate in the project.

My co-founder Garrett and I met when we were building FireChat and he then went to India to create Ola Play.

Our CTO, Lucien , hacked us at that time and that’s how we became friends. We build a small company together that we sold to Rightmesh. It was an off the grid twitter called Piperchain.

and Eliott, our Blockchain Architect, was among the first to create a smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain for mariages.

It is an amazing team.

Daren who is in the chat manages our communication.

and Jay, our CFO and employee #3, was still Head of strategy at Qualcomm when he decided to join us after spending some time with us in the office in San Francisco.

Micha Benoliel: Just to be correct , Garrett my co-founder, was at OLA PLAY.

To build the Nodle Network we have been facing many challenges and what we have done is very hard to replicate.

For example, we had to handle more than 1 million micro-transactions a day on chain.

Be able to find the right incentive for people to run the Nodle Cash app or App Developers to participate in the network.

When we started the delay between a sensor sending data through a smartphone node to the customer servers was taking 30 minutes since we move a lot of data and we took that time to 80 milliseconds or less .

The Nodle Token is used in the ecosystem as a credit to access the services or to stake on nodes soon to decentralize more the infrastructure and validate transactions.

You can compare it to a telecom credit.

Crypto Avengers: any geographic restrictions to install Nodle cash?

Micha Benoliel: There is no current restrictions , sometimes some local stores ask more questions but the Nodle CAsh app can be installed on any android phones freely.

iOS is till in Beta but updates are coming soon.

Crypto Avengers: can you please talk about partners, investors and advisors of Nodle ?

Micha Benoliel: Sure. We have partnered with Polkadot, the Web3 Foundation, Stellar, Ledger, Tangem.

in the IOT space with Cisco Meraki, Avnet. The HTC Exodus comes with Nodle Cash pre-installed and we have many more partnerships coming that will be announced.

Crypto Avengers: haven’t seen this type of partners /backers for a crypto project in recent times

Micha Benoliel: Republic is also a great partner who helps us for the private sale and most probably the public sale when we can confirm it.

My question :

Smart contracts are prone to failure and many projects fall victim to this, costing users money and the project discrediting. How reliable and secure is your smart contract? Have you audit it through any of the parties? Hello

Micha Benoliel: Good point. We have our chain audited on a regular basis and before a smart contract gets approved to run on chain it will have to be auditred as well.

Community: Token burn” is beneficial for any project, in being able to control the number of token circulation and to provide greater incentives to investors. Does your great project have a plan about token burn?

Micha: We are still very early, for now people will be able soon to stake on validator nodes. Then we will think how burning tokens could a be applied to our model. We like it and it could apply for when we give the opportunity for indepedent entities to participate in the governance.

Community: NODLE is a really interesting project. I don’t know much about technical issues. Can you give more realistic reasons for becoming a NODLE investor?

Micha: It is the future of wireless networks and the best way to connect securely hundreds of billions of things.

Community: Can you list 1–3 killer features of Your Project that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your platform has that you feel most confident about?

Micha: 100% software if you compare to Helium and it is very easy for manufacturers or enterpirses to leverage the network if you compare to iOT.

Community: I am a crypto investor and I only care about prospect of a crypto that I chose, tell me the reason why I should choose your project over the existing one ? What is your coin advantage that can convince me to change from my favorite token ?

Micha: Nodle is the fastest growing crypto on smartphones, we enable anyone with a smartphone to participate and earn Nodle Cash. We believe we can reach presence on a billion smartphones with our wallet and at the same time become the largest wireless network on earth.

Community: Can #Nodle provide traders with a single interface to execute all trading needs? What technology does #Nodle use to provide trading and protection of user assets? And Can #Nodle explain in simple terms How does the #Nodle Ecosystem work ?

My question :

Garrett: We will start with very basic contracts for example our PKI (today built into the runtime of our chain) and smart assets. Any new smart contracts will have to be heavily audited.

Community: NODLE is a really interesting project. I don’t know much about technical issues. Can you give more realistic reasons for becoming a NODLE investor?

Garrett: Yes, Nodle is a bet that IoT devices require a lower cost, lower power wireless network- and that once this is in place, the demand will be in the trillions of things

Community: Many new projects made a good impression at first but were suddenly abandoned. My question is, how will you manage the project and token to gain a place in the market and become a best token in the blockchain world?

Garrett: We have been at it for over 3 years, and following the vision of freeing the internet for over a decade. We are not going to stop now :)

Community: Community support is one of the biggest aspects of a project’s success. Most projects have programs that interact with their users. Does you have any special plans to attract and expand the community and improve the user experience?

Garrett: Yes, we have Nodle Cash on the app stores- essentially the only way a user can cryptographically generate crypto on their phone.

Community: What is the team’s orientation and development plan for 2021 in the Defi region why do you think Defi this immature term has a future? What results do you expect to achieve?

Garrett: Our focus is purely to connect a trillion things, we believe enabling IoT devices to pay each-other will be interesting, but our focus is purely on IoT and enabling anyone to participate in our network for now.

Community: Are you a global project or local project? Can anybody anywhere use Your project without any restrictions??

Garrett: Anyone can download our app and become a node. THe reason we went with crypto is we could incentivize anyone anywhere to run the app or SDK and grow our wireless network

Community: Only getting users, holders etc is not everything. In my opinion, a project needs to deal with solving a real world issue or problem What is the problem that your project primarily focuses on?

Garrett: We focus on connecting the next trillion things in a way cellular networks cannot. We have customers today for asset tracking and contact tracing.

Community: What is the structure of this project , is it decentralized or a open sourced protocol where everybody can contribute? If so, how does the governance plan on being handled?

Garrett: Today the network is decentralized with some aspects (like routing of data managed off chain)
